Our Cooke S7/i prime lenses are supplied with /i Technology, and are designed for all professional film and electronic cinema cameras with PL mount. /i Technology provides cinematographers and camera operators with essential information about lens settings, focus distance, aperture and depth of field, hyperfocal distance, serial number, owner data, lens type and focal length in metric and feet measurements. For zoom lenses, the zoom position is displayed.

Key Features 

Optical Design -- The optics are designed to deliver maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration. The electronics in Cooke lenses with /i Technology are accessible via a connector near the lens mount and contacts in the mount that synchronise with /i-compatible cameras and accessories.

Colour Balance -- All Cooke S7/i prime lenses are colour balanced, colour matched and compatible with Cooke S4/i, miniS4/i, Anamorphic/i and PANCHRO/i Classic lenses.

T2.0 Aperture -- Cooke S7/i prime lenses have a true T2.0 aperture and cover 35/Super 35mm, full frame and beyond.

Index Marks -- Each index mark is labelled. More detailed markings allow for more precise focus control.

Focus Movement -- Our Academy Award®-winning cam focus mechanism, combined with the added advantage of a large lens barrel diameter, has enabled us to increase the number of focus marks, particularly in close focus. Spherical aberration has been controlled throughout the focal range to eliminate compensation for back focus changes with aperture. A four-point contact bearing ensures smooth, positive and backlash-free movement.

Camera Mounts -- Reinforced Cooke PL mount with /i Technology contact.

Focus Markings -- Large, clear numbers on both sides of the focus barrel assist the focus puller when shooting in challenging lighting conditions.

Compatibility -- All Cooke S7/i prime lenses have a common fixed front diameter of 110mm, with a 140T x 0.8 mod focus gear and a 134T x 0.8 iris gear.

External Finish -- A scratch-resistant hard anodised PTFE finish is applied to all Cooke lenses, providing a durable and wear-resistant surface to meet the most demanding environmental conditions.

Iris -- A linear nine-blade iris module is installed in the Cooke S7/i prime lenses.

Weight/Size Ratio -- The lenses are designed for all shooting applications, including handheld and Steadicam, offering a comfortable balance ratio with the latest compact cameras.
