Exceptional performance for cinematography with full-frame compatibility - The Samyang 12mm T3.1 VDSLR ED AS NCS Fisheye lens is the cine/video version of the Samyang 12mm f2.8 lens, incorporating the same excellent optics but with an integrated gearing system for video platforms equipped with focus tracking systems. Full-frame compatible, suitable for interchangeable lens cameras and camcorders equipped with a 24x36 mm (full-frame) or smaller sensor.

The Samyang 12mm T3.1 is a bright super wide-angle fisheye lens offering 180 degrees on a full-frame sensor (24 x 36 mm format). Specially designed for full-frame cameras such as the Canon 5D, Nikon D800, D810, or Sony A7, A7R, A7s, etc., this 12 mm is compatible with cameras equipped with smaller sensors, and is therefore available on special order for other mounts, such as Fujifilm X, Pentax K, Sony A, Canon M, Samsung NX, Olympus Four-Thirds and Micro Four Thirds (MFT) for Panasonic and Olympus mirrorless cameras.

The Samyang 12mm fisheye is a manual lens with manual focus. In terms of optics, it is one of the most advanced "fisheye" lenses.

With excellent construction and quality optical design, it comprises 12 elements arranged in 8 groups, including three ED extra-low dispersion glass elements and two aspherical lenses ensuring perfect image depth and minimising chromatic aberration.

The Samyang 12mm T3.1 fisheye features a highly effective NCS nanocrystalline anti-reflective coating applied with standard UMC coatings, which ensures precise focusing, high contrast and natural colour reproduction even at full aperture, and it is an excellent lens to use in various lighting conditions with its fast T3.1 aperture.

The 7 circular aperture blades create excellent bokeh for an ultra wide-angle lens. The lens structure is compact and robust as it is made from high-strength aluminium. The removable petal-shaped lens hood minimises lens flare and ghosting.

Fisheye lenses are popular for special effects where distortion, exaggerated perspective or extreme depth of field are desired. Samyang fisheye lenses are also capable of producing 360° panoramas and virtual tours, including complete 360-degree images with the use of various third-party software, available from other suppliers.

The Samyang 12mm 2.8 fisheye has a removable lens hood.

Available in Canon, Nikon and Sony E mounts. Other mounts available on special order include Pentax, Sony A, Canon M, Fujifilm X, Samsung NX, Four-Thirds and Micro Four Thirds (MFT).
