The Samyang 35mm T1.5 AS UMC VDSLR lens is a fast wide-angle prime lens with manual focus for full-frame cameras, or a fast standard lens when used on APS-C/DX sensors, available in Canon, Nikon, Sony E and A, and Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mounts.

This VDSLR (Video DSLR) version has been developed primarily for professional filmmaking. The VDSLR version includes a follow focus gear system and de-clicked aperture, allowing the user to smoothly and silently adjust focus and aperture/depth of field during filming, and to connect to professional follow focus systems.

The Samyang is rated in T-Stops rather than F-stops, which is customary for cinema camera lenses. The F-stop number expresses the speed of the lens assuming the lens transmits 100% of incident light.
