The Samyang 135mm T2.2 ED UMC VDSLR cinema lens is the cine/video version of the Samyang 135mm f2.0 ED UMC lens, retaining the same excellent optics, but with an integrated gear system for follow focus systems. Full-frame compatible, suitable for interchangeable lens cameras and camcorders equipped with a 24x36mm (full frame) or smaller sensor. The Samyang 135mm features a floating design, an extra-low dispersion (ED) lens element for maximum optical performance. A T2.2 circular aperture with 9 blades offers excellent bokeh for close-up portraits and short focal lengths. To ensure high contrast and faithful colour reproduction, all lens elements have been coated with Samyang's UMC multi-layer anti-reflection coatings. The lens design and coatings offer remarkably low chromatic aberrations, ghosting and flare. Splendid image quality and shallow depth of field with natural and beautiful bokeh thanks to the 9 circular blades make it particularly suited to cinema, where separation of the subject from the background is desired. The Samyang 135mm lens is also available in a standard version: Samyang 135mm f2.0 ED UMC. The VDSLR version features a decoupled focus and aperture ring, perfectly suited for video and cinema use, and for mounting on follow focus systems. This manual focus cinema telephoto lens is suitable for full-frame or cropped sensors. It delivers vivid colours and a soft blur zone that make it an excellent lens for portrait, night landscape, nature and reportage photography. Samyang's VDSLR versions are rated in T-Stops rather than F-stops, which is standard for cinema camera lenses. The F-stop number expresses the speed of the lens assuming that the optics transmit 100% of the incident light. The T number expresses the actual light transmission, which is more accurate and is the standard for professional cinema lenses. Supplied with removable lens hood and front and rear lens caps.
