The Samyang 12mm f2.8 ED AS NCS fisheye lens is a bright ultra wide-angle fisheye lens designed specifically for full-frame cameras. It is therefore perfect for cameras such as the Canon 5D, Nikon D800, D810, or Sony A7, A7R, A7s, etc. The Samyang 12mm fisheye is a manual lens with manual focus. It offers a diagonal field of view of 180 degrees on a full-frame sensor (24 x 36 mm format). In terms of optics, it is one of the most advanced "fisheye" lenses.

With excellent build quality and quality optics, it comprises 12 optical elements arranged in 8 groups, including three ultra-low dispersion ED glass elements and two aspherical lenses ensuring perfect image depth and minimising chromatic aberrations.

The Samyang 12mm 1:2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye features a highly effective NCS nano-crystal anti-reflection coating applied with standard UMC treatments. It offers excellent focus, high contrast and natural colour reproduction even at full aperture. The large f2.8 aperture and high-quality optics guarantee excellent results even in varying lighting conditions.

The 7 diaphragm blades are circular, which helps to create excellent bokeh. The lens body is compact and robust as it is manufactured from high-resistance aluminium. The removable petal-shaped lens hood minimises flare and ghosting.

Fisheye lenses are popular for special effects where distortion, exaggerated perspective or extreme depth of field are desired. Samyang fisheye lenses are also capable of producing 360° panoramas and virtual tours, including complete 360-degree images with the use of various third-party software, available from other suppliers.

The Samyang 12mm 2.8 fisheye is fitted with a removable lens hood.

Available in Canon, Nikon and Sony E mounts. Other mounts available on special order include Pentax, Sony A, Canon M, Fujifilm X, Samsung NX, Four-Thirds and Micro Four Thirds (MFT).
