The Samyang 12 mm f2.8 ED AS NCS fisheye lens is a bright ultra wide-angle fisheye lens designed specifically for full-frame cameras. It is therefore perfect for cameras such as the Canon 5D, Nikon D800, D810, or Sony A7, A7R, A7s, etc. The Samyang 12 mm fisheye is a manual lens with manual focus. It offers a diagonal field of view of 180 degrees on a full-frame sensor (24 x 36 mm format). Optically, it is one of the most advanced "fisheye" lenses.

With excellent build quality and optical design, it comprises 12 optical elements arranged in 8 groups, including three low-dispersion ED glass elements and two aspherical lens elements ensuring perfect image depth and minimising chromatic aberration.

The Samyang 12 mm 1:2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye features a highly effective NCS nano-crystal anti-reflection coating applied with standard UMC coatings. It delivers excellent focus, high contrast and natural colour reproduction even at full aperture. The fast f2.8 aperture and high-quality optics guarantee excellent results even in various lighting conditions.

The 7 diaphragm blades are circular, which helps create excellent bokeh. The lens mount is compact and robust as it is made from high-strength aluminium. The removable petal-shaped lens hood minimises flare and ghosting.

Fisheye lenses are popular for special effects where distortion, exaggerated perspective or extreme depth of field are desired. Samyang fisheye lenses are also capable of producing 360° panoramas and virtual tours, including full 360-degree images using various third-party software available from other suppliers.

The Samyang 12 mm 2.8 fisheye features a removable lens hood.

Available in Canon, Nikon and Sony E mounts. Other mounts available on special order include Pentax, Sony A, Canon M, Fujifilm X, Samsung NX, Four-Thirds and Micro Four Thirds (MFT).
