The Samyang 12mm f2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye is a bright super wide-angle fisheye lens designed specifically for full-frame cameras. It is therefore perfect for cameras such as the Canon 5D, Nikon D800, D810, or Sony A7, A7R, A7s, etc. The Samyang 12mm fisheye is a manual lens with manual focus. It offers a diagonal field of view of 180 degrees on a full-frame sensor (24 x 36 mm format). In terms of optics, it is one of the most advanced "fisheye" lenses available.

With excellent construction and a high-quality optical configuration, it comprises 12 optical elements arranged in 8 groups, including three ED low-dispersion glass elements and two aspherical lens elements guaranteeing perfect image depth and minimising chromatic aberration.

The Samyang 12mm 1:2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye benefits from a highly effective NCS nano-crystal anti-reflective coating applied in addition to the standard UMC coatings. It offers excellent focus, high contrast and natural colour reproduction even at full aperture. The large f2.8 aperture and high-quality optics guarantee excellent results even in various lighting conditions.

The 7 aperture blades are circular, which helps to create an excellent bokeh. The lens body is compact and solid as it is made from high-strength aluminium. The removable petal-shaped lens hood minimises flare and ghosting.

Fisheye lenses are popular for special effects where distortion, exaggerated perspective or extreme depth of field is desired. Samyang fisheye lenses are also capable of producing 360° panoramas and virtual tours, including full 360-degree images using various third-party software, available from other suppliers.

The Samyang 12mm 2.8 fisheye is equipped with a removable lens hood.

Available in Canon, Nikon and Sony E mounts. Other mounts available on special order include Pentax, Sony A, Canon M, Fujifilm X, Samsung NX, Four-Thirds and Micro Four Thirds (MFT).
