The Samyang 14mm f/2.8 ED AS IF UMC lens for Sony E mount is a manual focus, manual aperture ultra wide-angle prime lens compatible with Sony NEX full-frame and APS-C mirrorless digital cameras. On APS-C format cameras, it provides an equivalent focal length of 21mm in 35mm format. A maximum aperture of f/2.8 is effective for low-light photography and allows control of reduced depth of field. Thanks to extra-low dispersion, aspherical and hybrid aspherical lens elements, chromatic aberrations are minimised and images are sharp with accurate colours. The UMC coating on the lens facilitates uniform light transmission and reduces flare and ghosting. The minimum focus distance of this lens is 11".
