The Samyang 35mm f1.4 AS UMC lens has been designed to fit most popular SLR and DSLR cameras. On a full-frame camera, the 35mm focal length has universal applications, the lens is the perfect bright/fast wide-angle for landscape, photojournalism and general photography, including low-light photography. Mounted on a camera with APS-C sensor, it becomes a versatile 50mm prime lens, perfect for general photography including low-light photography. Mounted on cameras with the 4/3 system, the Samyang 35mm F1.4 AS UMC transforms into a short, bright portrait lens with an equivalent focal length of 70mm.

The large apertures of the 35mm offer beautiful bokeh (the character of the blurred areas), perfect for portrait-type applications, or photography where ultra-soft backgrounds or foregrounds are preferred. This technique helps separate the subject from the background giving very pleasing and professional results.
