The Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AS UMC lens sits between the Samyang 35mm and 85mm lenses. The 50mm is a standard prime lens, with a wide f/1.4 aperture, full-frame compatible, and also suitable for cameras with smaller sensors.

Perfect for recent high-resolution full-frame cameras such as the Nikon D600, D610, D750, D800, D810, Canon 5D Mark III, Sony A7 / A7R / A7S, etc.

Many Samyang users have requested a standard 50mm prime lens and here it is! This specially designed Samyang 50mm lens is full-frame compatible, suitable for interchangeable-lens cameras and camcorders equipped with a 24x36mm (full-frame) or smaller sensor.

Offering a field of view of 46.2 degrees with a wide f/1.4 aperture, it is superb for low-light shooting and photography with a shallow depth of field where subject separation from the background is desired, with beautiful bokeh thanks to an 8-blade circular aperture.

The lens optics consist of nine elements arranged in six groups (including one aspherical element and one hybrid aspherical element). The hybrid aspherical glass lens (H-ASP) minimises chromatic aberration to produce exceptional image quality and high contrast across the entire image, from centre to corners, even at wide apertures. The aspherical element (ASP) further contributes to producing the highest resolution and sharpness across the entire image. To ensure high contrast and faithful colour reproduction, all lens elements have been coated with Samyang's UMC multi-layer anti-reflection treatments.
