The 50mm is a fixed standard focal length lens, with a fast f1.4 aperture, full-frame compatible, and also suitable for cameras with smaller sensors. Perfect for recent high-resolution full-frame cameras, such as the Nikon D600, D610 D750, D800, D810, Canon 5D Mark III, Sony A7 / A7R / A7S, etc. Many Samyang users have requested a 50mm fixed standard lens and here it is! This specially designed Samyang 50mm lens is full-frame compatible, suitable for interchangeable lens cameras and camcorders equipped with a 24x36mm (full-frame) sensor or smaller. Offering a 46.2-degree field of view with a fast f/1.4 aperture, it is superb for low-light shooting and shallow depth-of-field photography where subject separation from the background is desired, as well as beautiful bokeh with an 8-blade circular aperture. The lens optics consist of nine lens elements arranged in six groups (including one aspherical lens element and one hybrid aspherical lens element). The hybrid glass aspherical lens (H-ASP) minimises chromatic aberration to produce exceptional image quality and high contrast throughout the image, from centre to corners, even at large apertures. The aspherical element (ASP) further contributes to producing the highest resolution and sharpness across the entire image. To ensure high contrast and faithful colour reproduction, all lens elements have been coated with Samyang's UMC multi-layer anti-reflective coatings.
