The Samyang 50mm f/1.4 AS UMC lens sits between the Samyang 35mm and 85mm lenses. The 50mm is a standard fixed focal length lens, with a fast f1.4 aperture, full-frame compatible, and also suited to cameras with smaller sensors.

Many Samyang users have requested a standard 50mm fixed focal length lens and here it is! This specially designed Samyang 50mm lens is full-frame compatible, suited to interchangeable lens cameras and camcorders equipped with a 24x36mm (full-frame) sensor or smaller.

Offering a 46.2-degree angle of view with a fast f/1.4 aperture, it is perfect for low-light shooting and shallow depth-of-field photography where subject separation from the background is desired, with beautiful bokeh thanks to an 8-blade circular aperture.

The lens optics consist of nine elements arranged in six groups (including one aspherical element and one hybrid aspherical element). The hybrid aspherical glass lens (H-ASP) minimises chromatic aberration to produce exceptional image quality and high contrast across the entire image, from centre to corners, even at large apertures. The aspherical element (ASP) further contributes to producing the highest resolution and sharpness across the entire image. To ensure high contrast and faithful colour reproduction, all lens elements have been coated with Samyang's UMC multi-layer anti-reflection coatings.
