The Samyang 12mm f/2.0 NCS CS is an ultra wide-angle lens perfect for APS-C mirrorless cameras with cropped sensors (CS). It is a high-performance lens, particularly suited to cameras equipped with high-resolution sensors (over 24MP). Samyang lenses offer high optical quality at an affordable price, and the new Samyang 12mm should be one of the best wide-angle prime lenses available in its category.

The Samyang 12mm offers an angle of view equivalent to 18mm on APS-C sensors, 24mm on Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount. A wide aperture of f/2.0 allows photography even in low-light conditions. The optical construction of the lens comprises 12 elements in 10 groups, including one aspherical lens (ASP) and one hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP). There are also three ED glass lenses, offering exceptional performance. Technologically, the Samyang 12mm is the most advanced Samyang lens to date.

The Samyang 12mm features Samyang's new Nano Crystal Structure (NCS) anti-reflection coating system. This new coating offers an even lower reflection factor than Samyang's UMC coatings. NCS coating technology provides a precise process for applying the anti-reflection coating more uniformly to the surface of the lens. The additional benefits offered by the nanocrystalline layer include improved light transmission, increased resistance to flare, resulting in maximum image contrast. This is applied to 2 elements in the 12mm lens.

The Samyang 12mm 1:2.0 NCS CS is an excellent lens for landscape photography, interior and architectural photography, or astrophotography where a high-quality wide angle is desired. It features a removable lens hood and a 67mm filter thread. It is compact and lightweight, weighing approximately 250g, making it a perfect solution for compact interchangeable-lens camera systems.
