The Samyang 12 mm f|2.0 NCS CS is an ultra wide-angle lens perfect for APS-C mirrorless cameras with crop factor sensors (CS). It is a high-performance lens, particularly suited to cameras equipped with a high-resolution sensor (over 24 MP). Samyang lenses offer excellent optical quality at an affordable price, and the new Samyang 12 mm should be one of the best wide-angle prime lenses available in its category. The Samyang 12 mm offers a wide-angle equivalent of 18 mm on APS-C size sensors, 24 mm on Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount. A fast aperture of f|2.0 allows photography even in low-light conditions. The optical construction of the lens comprises 12 elements arranged in 10 groups, including one aspherical lens (ASP) and one hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP). There are also three ED glass lenses, offering superb performance. Technologically, the Samyang 12 mm is the most advanced Samyang lens to date. The Samyang 12 mm incorporates Samyang's new Nano Crystal anti-reflection coating system (NCS). This new coating offers an even lower reflection factor than Samyang's UMC coatings. NCS coating technology provides a precise process for applying the anti-reflection coating more uniformly across the lens surface. The additional benefits offered by the nano-crystal coating include improved light transmission, increased resistance to lens flare resulting in maximum image contrast. This is applied to 2 elements in the 12 mm lens. The Samyang 12 mm 1:2.0 NCS CS is an excellent lens for landscape photography, indoor and architectural photography, or astrophotography where a high-quality wide angle is desired. It features a removable lens hood and a 67 mm filter thread.
