The Samyang 12 mm f/2.0 NCS CS is an ultra wide-angle lens perfect for APS-C mirrorless cameras with cropped sensors (CS). It is a high-performance lens, particularly suited to cameras equipped with a high-resolution sensor (over 24 MP). Samyang lenses offer excellent optical quality at an affordable price, and the new Samyang 12 mm should be one of the best wide-angle prime lenses available in its category.

The Samyang 12 mm offers an angle equivalent to 18 mm on APS-C size sensors, 24 mm on Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount. A fast aperture of f/2.0 allows photography even in low-light conditions. The optical construction of the lens comprises 12 elements arranged in 10 groups, including one aspherical lens (ASP) and one hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP). There are also three ED glass elements, offering superb performance. Technologically, the Samyang 12 mm is the most advanced Samyang lens to date.

The Samyang 12 mm features Samyang's new Nano Crystal System (NCS) anti-reflection coating. This new coating offers an even lower reflectance factor than Samyang's UMC coatings. The NCS coating technology provides a precise process for applying the anti-reflection coating more uniformly across the lens surface. The other benefits offered by the nanocrystalline layer include improved light transmission, increased resistance to flare, allowing maximum image contrast. This is applied to 2 elements in the 12 mm lens.

The Samyang 12 mm 1:2.0 NCS CS is an excellent lens for landscape photography, interior and architectural photography, or astrophotography where a high-quality wide angle is desired. It features a removable lens hood and a 67 mm filter thread. It is compact and lightweight, weighing approximately 250 g, making it a perfect solution for compact mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera systems.
