The Samyang 12mm f|2.0 NCS CS is an ultra wide-angle lens perfect for APS-C mirrorless cameras with cropped sensors (CS). It is a high-performance lens, particularly suited to cameras equipped with a high-resolution sensor (over 24 MP). Samyang lenses offer excellent optical quality at an affordable price, and the new Samyang 12mm should be one of the best wide-angle prime lenses available in its category.

The Samyang 12mm offers an angle of view equivalent to 18mm on APS-C size sensors, 24mm on Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount. A fast aperture of f|2.0 allows photography even in low-light conditions. The optical construction of the lens comprises 12 elements arranged in 10 groups, including one aspherical element (ASP) and one hybrid aspherical element (H-ASP). There are also three ED glass lenses, offering superb performance. Technologically, the Samyang 12mm is the most advanced Samyang lens to date.

The Samyang 12mm features Samyang's new Nano Coating System (NCS) anti-reflective coating. This new coating offers an even lower reflection factor than Samyang's UMC coatings. The NCS coating technology offers a precise process for applying the anti-reflective coating more uniformly across the surface of the lens. The additional benefits offered by the nanocrystalline layer include improved light transmission, increased resistance to flare, resulting in maximum image contrast. This is applied to 2 elements in the 12mm lens.

The Samyang 12mm 1:2.0 NCS CS is an excellent lens for landscape photography, indoor and architectural photography or astrophotography where a high-quality wide-angle is desired. It features a removable lens hood and a 67mm filter thread. It is compact and lightweight, weighing approximately 250g, making it a perfect solution for compact mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera systems.
