The Samyang 12mm f|2.0 NCS CS is a perfect ultra wide-angle lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras with cropped sensors (CS). It is a high-performance lens, particularly suited to cameras equipped with high-resolution sensors (over 24 MP). Samyang lenses offer excellent optical quality at an affordable price, and the new Samyang 12mm is set to be one of the best wide-angle prime lenses available in its category.

The Samyang 12mm offers an equivalent angle of 18 mm on APS-C sensors and 24 mm on Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mount. A fast aperture of f|2.0 allows photography even in low-light conditions. The optical construction of the lens comprises 12 elements arranged in 10 groups, including one aspherical lens (ASP) and one hybrid aspherical lens (H-ASP). There are also three ED glass lenses, delivering exceptional performance. Technologically, the Samyang 12mm lens is the most advanced Samyang lens to date.

The Samyang 12mm incorporates Samyang's new Nano Crystal Structure (NCS) anti-reflection coating system. This new coating offers an even lower reflectance factor than Samyang's UMC coatings. The NCS coating technology provides a precise process for applying the anti-reflection coating more uniformly over the lens surface. Additional benefits offered by the nanocrystalline layer include improved light transmission and increased resistance to unwanted reflections, resulting in maximum image contrast. This is applied to 2 elements in the 12mm lens.

The Samyang 12mm 1:2.0 NCS CS is an excellent lens for landscape photography, interior and architectural photography, or astrophotography where a high-quality wide-angle is desired. It features a removable lens hood and a 67 mm filter thread. It is compact and lightweight, weighing approximately 250 g, making it the perfect solution for compact interchangeable-lens mirrorless camera systems.
