The HEX-4 is part of ARRI´s Handle Extension Family. It follows the design of the Camera Center Handle CCH-4 and offers a number of 3/8-16 and RMB-3 interfaces. The different HEX can be connected in multiple ways in order to extend a top handle but also to build your own handle design. The Wooden and the Plastic Shell for HEX can be attached directly to the HEX-4.
