The Tilta 8" 15 mm threaded rod is an 8" rod with female threading at both ends. This allows you to use optional threaded rod adapters to extend the length.

As standard practice, Tilta chamfers one end of their rods and leaves the other end with a straight cut. Chamfering makes it easier to slide accessories onto the rod, whilst the straight-cut end allows for a smoother join between rods.

The rod is made of machined aluminium for a balance between weight and strength, then anodised black to resist wear and corrosion. Please note that there is no standard industry standard for support rod threading, so it is best to stay within the same brand when purchasing optional rod extensions.
