The Tilta 12" 15 mm threaded rod is a 12" rod with female threading at both ends. This allows you to use optional threaded rod adapters to extend the length.

As standard practice, Tilta chamfers one end of their rods and leaves the other end with a straight cut. The chamfer makes it easier to slide accessories onto the rod, whilst the straight-cut end allows for a smoother junction between rods.

The rod is made from machined aluminium for a balance between weight and strength, then black anodised to resist wear and corrosion. Please note that there is no industry standard for support rod threading, so when purchasing optional rod extensions, it is best to stay within a single brand.
