The Chrosziel 401-417 lightweight support system for Sony HDR-FX1 and HVR-Z1 camcorders adds support to the Chrosziel Mattebox. Most importantly, you can simply add a DV Studio rig/Follow focus system to your camera. To add the LWS, simply install the centre support on the mattebox, install the lightweight support base on the camera and insert the standard 15mm rods directly between the centre support and the lightweight support base. This rod system incorporates a height adjustment, a base plate for mounting on the camera (in this case, Sony DSR-PD150 and DSR-PD170) and of course the 15mm diameter support rods. It works with 4x5" and 5x5" matte boxes optimised for support and handling.
