Kinoflo FreeStyle/GT 21 LED Fixture
The Kino Flo FreeStyle 21 LED unleashes your creativity by using a quick-release system to remove the LED panel from the plastic housing. The smaller form factor and lightweight LED panel combined with the four corner bumpers add additional mounting versatility. The LED panel also includes an additional coupling plate to allow mounting on a stand. Kino Flo's FreeStyle 31 and 21 LEDs include three menu options, one white menu and two colour menus. Those who prefer to work with white light can use the "white menu" which gives the user access to dimming channels, Kelvin and green/magenta control. The Kelvin range goes from 2700K tungsten to 6500K daylight.
MTP-BG41S mount with short Baby receiver (16mm).
The Kino Offset with Baby receiver, MTP-B41F (sold separately) can be used to centre the weight and balance of the fixture on a stand. It can also be suspended under a baby stand for use in low-angle shots. A Baby ballast bracket (MTP-BAL1) is available as an accessory. The MTP-BAL1 can be used with a Mafer clamp to mount the controller on a stand, for example.
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX Controller
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller includes state-of-the-art features; dial colour temperature control; full dimming; programmable presets; three menu options, one white menu and two colour menus. The "white menu" gives the user access to dimming channels, Kelvin and green/magenta control. The Kelvin range goes from 2700K to 5500K. In the first colour menu, the Kelvin range goes from 2500K tungsten to 9900K daylight and Kino Flo has configured a fourth channel called Gel. The Gel channel includes Kino Flo presets such as blue and green backgrounds, sodium vapour, mercury vapour and more than 100 well-known lighting gels.
In addition, there is also a fifth channel called Hue Angle and a sixth channel, Saturation. These two channels behave similarly to a traditional colour wheel, where you have white light at the centre, the hue angle determines the colour over a 360-degree range, and saturation determines the amount of colour applied. The second colour menu offers individual red, green, blue (RGB) control. This menu is an excellent way to work with applications having RGB presets or predetermined colour wheels. It operates flicker-free and does not change colour temperature during dimming. Light levels are consistent across the entire Kelvin range. The controller can be used remotely with a 7.62m extension cable or can easily be attached to the back of the FreeStyle LED fixture with hook-and-loop fasteners. With integrated DMX and Lumen Radio receivers, the FreeStyle LEDs can be controlled via DMX or wireless DMX with automatic DMX termination. The low-power FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller operates on universal input voltage of 100-240VAC at only 1.25A (120VAC) (FreeStyle 31) or can also operate on 24VDC using only 6.25A.

AC Input
- The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller is AC powered and includes an IEC connection. The controller includes universal input 100-240VAC.
DC Input
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller can also operate on 24VDC (input range 18-36VDC) via a 3-pin XLR. The pin polarity is:
- Pin #1 - Ground
- Pin No.2 - +18-36VDC
- Pin #3 - Not used
Block Battery/KF21
The KF21 battery can power 28.8V applications (20-34 VDC). The running time for the FreeStyle LED 21/31 is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes at full brightness. When fixtures are dimmed, the battery will last longer. The charging time is only 1.5 hours compared to approximately 4 hours for a full charge of lithium batteries. Unlike lithium batteries, the Kino Flo/BlockBattery is also suitable for travel without transport restrictions. The Kino Flo/BlockBattery system includes a Mafer bracket, BAT-MM1, with 28.8V output with 3-pin XLR, 0.9m. The battery slides onto the bracket and attaches to a Mafer clamp. The 3-pin XLR cable connects to the FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller.
DMX Operation
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX operates on three DMX channels (in white mode) using DMX512 (six DMX channels in colour mode). The first channel controls dimming; the 2nd channel controls Kelvin colour temperature; the 3rd channel controls hue. In Gels/Hue mode: the 4th channel controls Gel; the 5th channel controls hue angle and the 6th channel controls saturation. In RGB colour mode, the 4th channel controls red; the 5th channel controls green and the 6th channel controls blue.
Wireless Operation
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller includes an integrated Lumen Radio receiver and can be used wirelessly with a Lumen Radio transmitter (sold separately). Wireless is an alternative to using DMX cables.
The FreeStyle Extension Cable
Up to 15 metres (2 x 7.6m) of extension cable can be used between the fixture and the controller.
Light control
In addition to the plastic barn doors, another light control option is a Flozier available in half-aperture. The Flozier attaches to the barn doors and can be adjusted in different configurations.
Honeycomb Louver
Light diffusion is controlled using thin-walled honeycomb louvers. The advantage of these honeycomb louvers is minimal light loss. The FreeStyle LED fixtures include a 90-degree honeycomb louver. A 60-degree honeycomb louver is also available as an accessory. They are lightweight and attach to the fixture

FreeStyle/GT LED System
The FreeStyle/GT 21 LED system consists of four elements: the FreeStyle/GT 21 LED fixture, the mounting plate, the FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller and the extension cable. It has been designed this way to allow maximum flexibility in lighting solutions for challenging situations.
FreeStyle 21 LED Fixture
The FreeStyle LED fixture includes integrated barn doors and consists of a removable LED panel and a honeycomb louver. The honeycomb louver is held in place with hook-and-loop fasteners. The LED panel can be removed from the fixture housing by pressing the locking pin and turning the wing screw. The fixture has a threaded coupling plate to accept a threaded mount. The LED panel also has a threaded coupling plate to accept a removable threaded mount and has moulded corners for additional rigging options.
Mounting
One of the design features of the FreeStyle LED fixture is the removable threaded centre mount. When in place, the fixture mounts easily onto a lighting stand; when removed, the fixture is flat and can be hand-held or hidden in a space too small for a stand-mounted fixture. When the mount is removed, the eyelet holes along the edge of the fixture are designed to allow the fixture to be screwed to a wall or ceiling through its eyelets. The remote controller can also be attached to the back of the fixture with hook-and-loop fasteners or operated remotely with an extension cable. The removable FreeStyle LED panel also has its own coupling plate to accept the threaded mounting plate. The LED panel can be hand-held with the KinoGrip mount and also has moulded corners as mounting points for rope suspension, for example. The standalone rigging plate (FIX-F21T) is a separately sold accessory. The rigging plate holds the removable LED panel. The KinoGrip centre mount and LED controller can be attached. The plate allows for a smaller fixture profile without having to fold back the plastic barn doors. When the mount and controller are removed, the plate can be screwed to the wall or ceiling through its screw points. The standard mount is supplied with a KinoGrip mount with Baby receiver (MTP-BG41) which mounts to a baby stand. The ball joint mount allows the fixture to be oriented at a wide range of angles. With the KinoGrip, the lightweight fixture or removable LED panel can be hand-held. There is also a short version and a 3/8" spigot mount available as accessories. The yellow wire loops are there to provide attachment points for a safety chain. Mounting options include the MTP-KG41 mount with 3/8" (10mm) spigot;
