Kinoflo FreeStyle/GT 41 LED Fixture
The Kino Flo FreeStyle 41 LED frees your creativity by using a quick-release system to remove the LED panel from the plastic housing. The smaller format and lightweight LED panel combined with four protective corners add greater mounting versatility. The LED panel also includes an additional adapter plate for mounting on a stand. The Kino Flo FreeStyle 41 LED includes three menu options, a white menu and two colour menus. Those who prefer to work with white light can use the "white menu" which gives the user access to dimming, Kelvin and Green/Magenta control channels. The Kelvin range goes from 2700K tungsten to 6500K daylight. In colour mode, the Kelvin range goes from 2500K tungsten to 9900K daylight and Kino Flo has implemented a fourth channel called Gel. The Gel channel includes Kino Flo presets such as blue and green screen, sodium vapour, mercury vapour and over 100 well-known lighting gels. Additionally, there is also a fifth channel called Hue Angle and a sixth channel, Saturation. These two channels behave like a traditional colour wheel, where you have white light in the centre and the hue angle determines the colour over a 360-degree range and Saturation determines the amount of colour applied. The second colour menu offers individual red, green, blue (RGB) control. The RGB menu is an excellent way to work with applications that have RGB presets or predetermined colour wheels. Kino Flo's new FreeStyle LEDs are also equipped with standard DMX and wireless (Lumen Radio), 24 VDC input and universal voltage input 100-240 VAC (1.25 ampere at 120 VAC). SnapBag Softbox and SnapGrid accessories are also available.

FreeStyle LED System
The FreeStyle LED system consists of four elements: the FreeStyle LED fixture, the mounting plate, the FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller and the extension cable. It has been designed this way to allow the greatest flexibility in lighting solutions for challenging situations.
FreeStyle 41 LED Fixture
The FreeStyle LED fixture includes integrated barn doors and consists of a removable LED panel and reflector. The reflector is held in place by hook-and-loop fasteners. The LED panel can be removed from the fixture housing by pressing the locking pin and turning the wing screw. The fixture has a threaded adapter plate to accept a threaded mount. The LED panel also has a threaded adapter plate to accept a removable threaded mount and has moulded corners for additional rigging options.
Mounting
One of the design features of the FreeStyle LED fixture is the removable centre mount with screw. Once in place, the fixture easily mounts on a lighting stand; once removed, the fixture is flat and can be handheld or hidden in a space too small to place a fixture on a stand. When the mount is removed, the eyelets along the edge of the fixture are designed to allow the fixture to be screwed to the wall or ceiling through its eyelets. The FreeStyle removable LED panel also has its own adapter plate to accept the threaded mounting plate. The LED panel can be handheld with the KinoGrip mount and also has moulded corners as suspension points for rope suspension, for example. The standalone mounting plate (FIX-41T) is an accessory, sold separately. The mounting plate holds the removable LED panel. The KinoGrip centre mount and LED controller can be attached. The plate allows for a slimmer profile fixture without having to fold back the plastic barn doors. When the mount and controller are removed, the plate can be screwed to the wall or ceiling using its fixing points. The standard mount comes with a KinoGrip mount with Baby receiver (MTP-BG41) that mounts on a baby stand. The ball-head mount allows the fixture to be oriented in a wide range of angles. With the KinoGrip, the lightweight fixture or removable LED panel can be handheld. A short version and a mount with 3/8" spigot are also available as accessories. The yellow wire loops are there to provide attachment points for a safety chain. Mounting options include the MTP-KG41 mount with 3/8" (10 mm) spigot; MTP-BG41S mount with short Baby receiver (16 mm).
MTP-B41F
The Kino Offset with Baby receiver, MTP-B41F (sold separately) can be used to centre the weight and balance of the unit on a stand. It can also be suspended under a baby stand for bottom lighting.
MTP-BAL1
A Baby ballast bracket (MTP-BAL1) is available as an accessory. The MTP-BAL1 can be used with a Mafer clamp to mount the controller on a stand, for example.

The energy-efficient FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller operates on a universal input voltage of 100-240 VAC at only 1.25 A (120 VAC) (FreeStyle 31) or can also operate on 24 VDC using only 6.25 A.
Power supply
AC Input
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller is AC powered and includes an IEC connection. The controller has a universal input of 100-240 VAC.
DC Input
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller can also operate on 24 VDC (input range 18-36 VDC) via a 3-pin XLR. The pin polarity is:
- Pin no. 1 - Ground
- Pin no. 2 - +18-36 VDC
- Pin no. 3 - Not used
Battery Block/KF21
The KF21 battery can power 28.8 V applications (20-34 VDC). Runtime for the FreeStyle 21/31 LED is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes at full brightness. When the fixtures are dimmed, the battery will last longer. Charging time is only 1.5 hours compared to approximately 4 hours for a full charge of lithium batteries. Unlike lithium batteries, the Kino Flo/BlockBattery is also suitable for transport without transport restrictions. The Kino Flo/BlockBattery system includes a Mafer bracket, BAT-MM1, with 28.8 V output with 3-pin XLR, 0.9 m. The battery slides onto the bracket and attaches to a Mafer clamp. The 3-pin XLR cable connects to the FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller.
DMX operation
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX operates on three DMX channels (in White mode) using DMX512 (six DMX channels in Colour mode). The first channel controls dimming; the 2nd channel controls Kelvin colour temperature; the 3rd channel controls Hue. In Gel/Hue Colour mode: the 4th channel controls Gel; the 5th channel controls Hue Angle and the 6th channel controls Saturation. In RGB Colour mode, the 4th channel controls Red; the 5th channel controls Green and the 6th channel controls Blue.
Wireless operation
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller includes a built-in Lumen Radio receiver and can be used wirelessly with a Lumen Radio transmitter (sold separately). Wireless is an alternative to using DMX cables.
The FreeStyle extension cable
Up to 15 metres (2 x 7.5 metres) of extension cable can be used between the fixture and the controller.
Light control
In addition to plastic honeycomb louvers, another light control option is a Flozier available in half-stop. The Flozier attaches to the barn doors and can be adjusted in different configurations.
Honeycomb louver
Light diffusion is controlled by means of thin-walled honeycomb louvers. The advantage of these honeycomb louvers is minimal light loss. FreeStyle LED fixtures include a 90-degree honeycomb louver. A 60-degree honeycomb louver is also available as an accessory. They are lightweight and attach to the fixture with hook-and-loop fasteners.
