Arri Orbiter Black without yoke
Bring a wide spectrum of brightness and colour to your studio with the ARRI Orbiter Black LED light without yoke, lens and cable, a tuneable colour lighting system featuring a powerful colour engine and versatile interchangeable optics. Equipped with a processor four times faster than the SkyPanel, ARRI's Spectra system with 190 LEDs offers a wide range of colour features allowing you to create an enormous colour palette thanks to its six-colour light engine comprising red, green, blue, amber, cyan and lime LEDs. With a high CRI of 98 and a TLCI of 95, it offers a colour temperature range of 2000 to 20,000 K to suit almost any lighting situation, and also features dimming from 100 to 0% with continuous and progressive adjustment. The light is also equipped with multiple sensors, including an intelligent colour sensor mode to detect ambient light and adjust its output for fine colour accuracy, a 3-axis accelerometer that detects pan, tilt and roll movements, an ambient light sensor to keep your screen readable, heat sensors to keep the light cool, and even a magnetometer to orient your light within its geography. The Orbiter features a highly portable design that can change optics in the blink of an eye thanks to ARRI's Quick Lighting Mount (QLM), a bayonet-type connection similar to a camera lens mount. Available optics include 15, 30 and 60° open-face optics producing a directional beam; 15, 25 and 35° projection optics producing a sharp, focused beam with evenly distributed colour; and small, medium and large domes offering a large soft light surface. The light can also be used with softboxes, barndoors, honeycomb grids and other light shaping accessories available separately with the appropriate adapter. Using ARRI's Lighting Operating System (LiOS), you can control all colour modes, effects and lighting presets directly from the built-in control panel. LiOS offers eight colour modes such as CCT, HSO, RGBACL, gel selection, X/Y coordinates, source matching, effects and a custom mode that allows you to save over 240 favourites that can be applied to a DMX or interface. It also features three operating modes — high colour rendering, high output and low noise — for your preferred performance mode. Interfaces include 5-pin DMX input and output, two LAN ports, two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port and an SD slot for future upgrades. It also features a sync input for future applications that will sync with your camera. The light is weather-resistant and can withstand dust and water splashes. Its redesigned mounting points secure an optional yoke for positioning with +/-90° tilt, and the yoke has a standard Junior pin mounting point of 1 1/8". Orbiter Option Orbiter models include versions without optic; with small, medium and large domes; with 15, 30 and 60° open face; and with 15, 25 and 35° projection. ARRI offers a range of open-face and projection optics (lens housings), domes, softboxes, snoots and barndoors. The interchangeable optics attach quickly and easily to the front of the light using the new QLM (quick lighting mount) system, which works like a giant camera lens mount. Powerful Colour Inside every Orbiter is the Spectra light engine with a processor four times faster than ARRI's SkyPanel series and 125 times more memory, with plenty of room for future feature upgrades. To produce extra-fine colour adjustment, the light engine adds amber, cyan and lime to the standard red, green and blue LED colours in its array of 190 LEDs. Capable of creating hard shadows with defined edges, the Orbiter's engine is 76 times smaller than an ARRI L10 Fresnel but has a higher output while consuming the same amount of power. LiOS (Light Operating System) Building on features first introduced with the SkyPanel, ARRI's LiOS system also offers a simplified DMX mode, over 240 presets, optic recognition, optimised performance modes and multilingual support for worldwide use. Eight different colour modes include CCT, HSI, individual colour, x/y coordinates, gel, source, matching and an ambient colour sensor. Full Sensor Suite The Orbiter features an integrated sensor suite with an ambient colour sensor that reproduces colour and intensity changes in your environment and offers two modes, continuous and momentary. Use momentary mode to get an instant reading of your light levels, or switch to continuous mode to constantly adapt to changing light in an event space, etc. Its 3-axis accelerometer detects pan, tilt and roll of the Orbiter, and this metadata can be used in future applications for placement optimisation and effects production. It also includes a magnetometer that provides true global direction, an ambient light sensor that will automatically dim your control panel screen and a heat sensor that ensures safe operation at any temperature.
