Piccoletto in Italian means Very Small. This was the nickname given to Mario De Sisti, the beloved founder of DeSisti, by the chief electricians at the Cinecittà studios in the 1950s, when Mario began working at the age of ten. The Piccoletto commemorates Mario DeSisti's exceptional career and his achievements in the professional lighting industry as a designer and innovator. The name Piccoletto is engraved with Mario's personal handwriting to help preserve his legacy as the genius behind one of the world's most important international lighting brands. The PICCOLETTO is a high-efficiency Fresnel lens spotlight using a 5-COLOUR LED MATRIX from Hive Lighting with an enhanced CRI (Colour Rendering Index) greater than 95 for appropriate chromatic performance. The PICCOLETTO offers the ability to adjust hue across 360° with 0-100% saturation and to adjust the Correlated Colour Temperature from a minimum of 1,650°K to a maximum of 8,000°K with an enhanced CRI greater than 95 for any CCT within this range. The fixture combines classic SPOT/FLOOD beam control over a FOCUSING RANGE equivalent to a conventional lamp Fresnel, with excellent barn door cut-off on a high-quality, shock-resistant, 80mm diameter borosilicate glass Fresnel lens. The luminaire is controlled by DMX for: - Super smooth dimming from 0 to 100% - CCT Control: 1,650°K to 8,000°K - Saturation 0-100% - 360° hue selection. Robust and lightweight aluminium housing with anti-glare black epoxy coating, double internal walls and reinforcements, an exact miniature reproduction of the larger spotlights. Using a combination of primary, secondary and tertiary colour LEDs (Red, Amber, Lime, Cyan and Sapphire), Hive LEDs create a more complete and uniform spectrum than traditional RGBW. A proprietary algorithm combines the 5 different colours into bright balanced white light and millions of saturated colour combinations. High-efficiency self-stabilising active cooling: Automatic thermal stabilisation of LED operating temperature is managed by an internal thermal sensor and CPU, variable speed fan and heat sink to maintain constant LED Matrix temperature at a maximum of 65°C. The hydrodynamic bearing fan operates quietly with very low speed. Special patented optics for LED technology. Linear bearing sliding focus mechanism that guides the LED ENGINE. This ensures smooth operation during focusing, in any tilt position of the fixture. Accessories are secured regardless of fixture orientation. Accessories have been designed for single-handed installation.
