Piccoletto in Italian means "Very Small". This was the nickname given to Mario De Sisti, the beloved founder of DeSisti, by the chief electricians at Cinecittà studios in the 1950s, when Mario began working at the age of ten. The Piccoletto commemorates Mario DeSisti's exceptional career and his achievements in the professional lighting industry as a designer and innovator. The name Piccoletto is engraved with Mario's personal handwriting to help preserve his legacy as the genius behind one of the world's leading international lighting brands.




FEATURES



- High-quality borosilicate glass Fresnel lens with 80 mm (3 inch) diameter.

- Light levels with the Tungsten LED exceed 185 lux at 3 m distance with an exceptionally wide flood (beam angle of 80°) and exceed 940 lux in full spot. The quality of distribution is at the HIGHEST LEVEL.

- Robust and lightweight aluminium housing with black anti-reflective epoxy coating, double internal walls and reinforcements, an exact miniature of the larger lights.

- Net weight of 1 kg in battery configuration and 1.3 kg in mains configuration

- High-efficiency self-stabilising active cooling: Automatic thermal stabilisation of the LED operating temperature is managed by an internal thermal sensor and CPU, a variable speed fan and a heat sink to maintain the constant temperature of the LED module at a maximum of 65°C. The hydrodynamic bearing fan operates quietly with very low speed.

- Linear bearing sliding focus mechanism that guides the LED ENGINE. This ensures smooth operation during focusing, in any tilt position of the unit.

- Light intensity control: External local potentiometer and DMX addressing rotary switches. Miniature XLR connector for DMX control.


- Power supply: Mains or battery operation.



The Piccoletto requires a 14.8V DC power supply.




The bottom of the unit has a Fast Fit mounting system to use one of the following power supply components:



- Fast Fit Mains Power Supply: to operate with any AC power supply (automatic switching 90 to 270V)

- Fast Fit Adapter for connection to standard V Mount camera batteries

- Fast Fit Battery - direct connection to a standard 14.8V portable camera battery (Sony BP-U series)
