The interior of the beauty dish reflector features an orange peel texture for more uniform light reflection. Light is reflected by the deflector plate on the inside to create a concentrated yet homogeneous soft light. The included diffuser can be attached to further soften the light. The round opening helps create attractive eye catchlights in portrait photography.
The included honeycomb grid is easy to install and detach. Once installed, it can effectively control the beam angle and focus light on the subject. The disc-shaped design saves space in lighting setups, and at only 0.95 kg/2.09 lb, the BM40 is highly portable for outdoor shoots.
