Matthews Open End Scrim
Open End frames are manufactured from spring steel with a 3/8" pin and a hanger that can be used to suspend the Scrim from the C Stand handle when not in use.
The two vertical arms of the frame are slotted at both open ends to retain the piano wire woven through the fabric to form the fourth side of the frame without creating a shadow.
Open Ends are used to control or manipulate light falling on certain areas of the set or subject. They can be used to soften or reduce light without a visible edge. A colour-coded border is used around the frame to identify the fabric.
Open End frames are powder-coated black to minimise unwanted reflections.
