Stainless steel scrims do not diffuse light; their function is to reduce light intensity at the source. Scrims do not affect colour temperature and produce no electronic interference. Scrims are available in single, double, half-single and half-double configurations. Half scrims are used to reduce part of the beam and are commonly used when light hits the subject or background plane at an angle.
