Operating in a range of 2.5:1 to 5:1, this lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 17.3 cm at a magnification of 5:1 with a comfortable working distance of 4 cm. This range also benefits from the wide-angle focal length, in order to achieve a greater depth of field compared to telephoto macro lenses. Complementing the close-up capabilities, the optical design incorporates an extra-low dispersion element to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations for a high degree of clarity. Furthermore, what sets it apart from other macro lenses, this 25mm f/2.8 is characterised by its remarkably elegant and lightweight design for easier handling and more space to work with artificial lighting. Features - The 25mm f/2.8 fixed focal length lens is designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras with Sony E mount, but can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length of 37.5mm. - Specially developed for macro photography, this lens is designed to be used in a magnification range of 2.5:1 to 5:1 to produce larger-than-life images. - This lens does not offer focus at infinity. - At a magnification of 5:1, the lens has a minimum focusing distance of 17.3 cm with a working distance of 4 cm, which provides sufficient space to illuminate your subject.
