From macro to infinity, the Laowa 60mm f/2.8 2X Ultra-Macro with Nikon F mount from Venus Optics is a portrait lens offering the unique ability to photograph close-up subjects at 6.1 cm with a 2:1 magnification ratio, as well as distant subjects with infinity focus and 0.1x magnification. The versatility offered by this manual focus and manual aperture selection lens allows you to work with close-up subjects and then quickly switch to full-length subjects at a distance without the need for extension tubes or other adapters. The lens is optimised for use on DX format sensors, where it will provide an equivalent focal length of 90mm, and it can also be used on FX format DSLRs, however some vignetting may occur when focusing at infinity. The lens construction comprises nine elements in seven groups, and two of the element groups move to control focusing and prevent barrel distortion. This design also helps maintain high image clarity, sharpness and colour accuracy. A 14-blade rounded aperture contributes to the quality of background blur, particularly beneficial when working with close-up subjects and selective focus techniques. Features - The 60mm fixed focal length lens with Nikon F mount is compatible with FX sensors as well as DX sensors, where it will provide an equivalent focal length of 90mm. - The lens is capable of focusing on subjects as close as 6.1 cm with a 2:1 magnification ratio for larger-than-life macro shots without requiring extension tubes or adapters. In addition, the lens is also capable of achieving infinity focus with a 1:10 magnification ratio for general shooting applications.
