The Pavo 2x anamorphic cinema lenses with two different coatings present great appeal and user-friendliness for filmmakers looking to create widescreen videos. Moreover, this brand new series from DZOFILM in an all-metal body adopting a mix of black and space grey boasts to meet medium to high budget productions. Consisting of 9 lenses from 28mm to 180mm, it can also work well with full-frame cameras when paired with DZOFILM Marlin expanders.
Create an immersive world of visual storytelling
Combining Super 35 and a 2x squeeze factor, the Pavo series consists of true anamorphic lenses, compatible with various cinema cameras and offering an appealing cascading bokeh. The 2x squeeze factor provides a wider field of view, presenting more details that directors would like to express through the background with natural reproduction of the protagonist on screen.
Presenting tableaux of distinction and texture
With the blue and neutral coating design, Pavo lenses generate horizontal blue flares or other different flares under multiple light sources, creating fascinating and cinematic scene tableaux while maintaining clarity. Besides the remarkable control of classic barrel distortion characteristic of anamorphic lenses, the Pavo series also excels in minimizing chromatic aberration even at full aperture, and reproduces natural skin tone and vibrant colours.
Inspiring more possible creations
Breaking the stereotype of bulky anamorphic lenses, the solid yet lightweight Pavo weighing 1.2-1.95 kg with a front diameter of only 95mm is easy to transport and suitable for use with drones and Steadicam shots. The minimum focusing distances across all focal lengths are shorter than what we typically expect from anamorphic lenses, broadening the possibilities to produce as diverse scenarios as possible.
Practical back focus adjustment
PAVO lenses feature built-in back focus adjustment, allowing precise adjustment when adapting to different cameras or changing mounts, making the workflow more efficient and quick.
