Panasonic Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f/2.8 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. Lens
Optimised for close-up shooting, the Panasonic Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f/2.8 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. lens is a short telephoto equivalent to 90mm for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Designed to strict tolerances in collaboration with Leica, this lens's optical design uses aspherical and extra-low dispersion glass elements to reduce aberrations and distortion, offering remarkable sharpness, clarity and colour accuracy. Multi-coated elements also help reduce reflections, and a floating element system helps maintain consistent image quality throughout the focusing range. As a macro lens, a maximum magnification of 1:1 is possible for life-size rendering, with a minimum focusing distance of 15cm for working with close-up subjects. An internal focusing mechanism maintains the lens's overall length during use, and MEGA O.I.S. is also present to reduce the appearance of camera shake when shooting handheld.
- Short telephoto lens designed for Micro Four Thirds digital mirrorless cameras, offering a 90mm equivalent focal length.
- Ideal for macro photography, this lens offers a life-size 1:1 maximum magnification as well as a minimum focusing distance of 15cm for photographing close-up subjects.
- An extra-low dispersion element is used to control chromatic aberrations and colour fringing, for increased clarity and colour accuracy. Additionally, an aspherical element is also present in the optical design to reduce spherical aberration and distortion, improving sharpness and resolution.
- Individual elements have been multi-coated to effectively reduce flare and ghosting, improving contrast when shooting in bright lighting conditions.
- An internal focusing mechanism combined with a floating element system promotes faster and more responsive focusing as well as consistent image quality throughout the focusing range.
- A focus limiter switch allows you to adjust the focusing range from 15cm to infinity or from 50cm to infinity for faster focusing when shooting distant subjects.
- MEGA optical image stabilisation minimises the appearance of camera shake to facilitate handheld shooting in challenging lighting conditions.
- The rounded seven-blade aperture contributes to a pleasing bokeh effect.
