Equip your Sony FS5 camera with the Chrosziel 450R2 Matebox Kit to build a complete studio configuration. This kit includes the Chrosziel MB 450R2 matebox, the DV StudioRig follow focus, and the LWS support for FS5. Once assembled, the matebox and follow focus will fit onto the included 15 mm rods, and the baseplate will allow mounting the rig on a standard VCT-14 quick-release system. MOD 0.8 and friction gears are included to drive cinema lenses or ungeared photographic lenses. The rig can be further expanded to include other 15 mm LWS accessories, such as lens supports for large optics and handles if you wish to be mobile. The support has 2 Hirth rosettes. Additionally, it comes with two 15 mm threaded extension rods. With the included top flag and 16:9 mask, glare from outside the frame can be effectively controlled to enhance contrast and reduce reflections in the recorded image. Additional control can be achieved through the separately available side and bottom flags. Insert your favourite filters into the available stages for additional creative control. The rear stage accepts only 4x4" filters, while the front stage will accept 4x4 filters as well as larger 4x5.65" filters. Both stages rotate, allowing the use and control of polarising filters as well as graduated filters. For more possibilities, the MB 450R2 can be upgraded in the future with a third rotating filter stage available separately. To use this matebox on your camera, it must be mounted on a separately available 15 mm LWS baseplate. Adjust the matebox on the rods until it covers the front of the lens. Rod-mounted mateboxes are preferred over clamp-on mateboxes in many production situations because they are always properly aligned with the image horizon. Flexible Insert Ring C-411-68 (for 130 mm Clamp) The Chrosziel C-411-68 Flexible Insert Ring (for 130 mm Clamp) is a light-blocking ring that fits perfectly into the 130 mm clamp of the 450W-20 and 456-20/456-30 rod-mounted mateboxes and covers lenses with diameters ranging from 95 to 125 mm. 130 to 110 mm Reduction Ring The Chrosziel 130 to 110 mm Reduction Ring inserts into the 130 mm clamp adapter on the MB-456 and MB450W mateboxes. The ring creates a 110 mm thread for the wide choice of light-blocking rings. Flexible Reduction Ring AC-450-20 Flex-Ring (110:75-98 mm) The Chrosziel AC-450-20 Flexi-Ring flexible reduction ring is an adjustable 110:75-98 mm reduction ring. The ring is designed to work with their MB-450 matebox system and will fit a variety of wide-angle lenses. - Compatible with the MB-450 matebox system for wide-angle lenses between 75-98 mm. - The flexible material makes it easily adjustable. Follow Focus DV StudioRig Built with high-quality materials, the Chrosziel DV StudioRig Follow Focus is designed for the professional filmmaker working with digital SLRs, mirrorless cameras, or cinema cameras. The main body of the DV StudioRig is machined from aluminium, and the large hand wheel rotates smoothly with minimal play in the gearbox. Use the knurled screw on the sliding rod clamp to secure the DV StudioRig to 15 mm LWS rods. Since the rod clamp slides, the DV StudioRig is compatible with many lens diameters, from small DSLR lenses to larger cinema lenses. A white marking disc is included to delineate focus points with a dry-erase marker or grease pencil. To be used with a lens, a drive gear must be purchased separately. Drive gears are available in different sizes and tooth spacing to fit ENG and cinema lenses as well as a friction gear for ungeared DSLR lenses. Once you have a gear, it simply clips into the gearbox and can be easily swapped. Adjustable hard stops can be added with the separately available C-206-60 VariLock upgrade kit. Focus Gear 206-12 (0.8 Pitch) The Chrosziel 206-12 is a focus gear with a 0.8 pitch for the Chrosziel 206-01S follow focus system. It has a standard 0.8 pitch for use with cinema-type lenses. Focus Control with Friction Gear (Ø 34 mm) for DV StudioRig The Chrosziel Focus Control with Friction Gear (Ø 34 mm) for DV StudioRig features a soft rubber surface that compensates for irregularities in the lens ring.
