The Chrosziel Compact LWS & MB450R2 DSLR Matte Box Kit is designed to be mounted on Canon EOS 5D, Nikon D800/D90, Panasonic DMC-GH3 and Black Magic Pocket cameras. The kit includes a two-stage matte box 450-R21 with French flag, a flexible reduction ring 450-20 110:75, a flexible reduction ring 450-22 110:50 and an LWS 15 HD DSLR base plate 401-453 with 12" rods.




Matte Box MB 450R2

Lightweight, robust and production-ready, the Chrosziel MB 450R2 matte box can adapt to a wide range of cameras, from small camcorders or mirrorless cameras to large cinema cameras and ENG camcorders with an external lens diameter of up to 114mm (lenses with a diameter smaller than 110mm may require additional accessories for full compatibility). Thanks to the included top flag and 16:9 mask, reflections coming from outside the frame can be effectively controlled to improve contrast and reduce ghosting in the recorded image. Additional control can be achieved with the separately available side and bottom flags.

Insert your preferred filters into the available stages for additional creative control. The rear stage accepts only 4x4" filters, while the front stage accepts both 4x4 and the larger 4x5.65" filters. Both stages rotate, allowing the use and control of polarising and graduated filters. For additional possibilities, the MB 450R2 can be upgraded in the future with a separately available third rotating filter stage.

To use this matte box on your camera, it must be mounted on a separately available 15mm LWS base plate. Adjust the matte box on the rods until it covers the front of the lens. Rod-mounted matte boxes are preferred over clip-on matte boxes in many production situations as they are always correctly aligned with the image horizon.


Flexible Reduction Ring AC-450-22 Flex-Ring (110:50-85mm)

The Chrosziel AC-450-22 Flexi-Ring flexible reduction ring is an adjustable 110:50-85mm reduction ring. The ring is designed to work with their MB-450 matte box series and will fit a variety of wide-angle lenses.

- Compatible with the MB-450 matte box system for wide-angle lenses between 50-85mm.

- The flexible material makes it easily adjustable.


Flexible Reduction Ring AC-450-20 Flex-Ring (110:75-98mm)

The Chrosziel AC-450-20 Flexi-Ring flexible reduction ring is an adjustable 110:75-98mm reduction ring. The ring is designed to work with their MB-450 matte box series and will fit a variety of wide-angle lenses.

- Compatible with the MB-450 matte box system for wide-angle lenses between 75-98mm.

- The flexible material makes it easily adjustable.


LWS 15 HD DSLR Base Plate with 12" Rods

The Chrosziel LWS 15 HD DSLR base plate with 12" rods is a 15mm DSLR rod support plate featuring a pair of 15mm rod clamps and 12" rods. To prevent your camera from rotating, the plate also includes an anti-rotation block. The height of the plate can be adjusted using the included shims, making it suitable for use with cameras such as the Canon EOS-5D, Nikon D800, Nikon D90, Panasonic DMC-GH3 and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. The plate can also be adjusted for use with larger camera bodies by removing the shims. Shorter M5 x 45mm screws, an Allen key and a guide with camera height marks are included.
