Neumann Monitor Alignment Kit 1 - 1 x KH 750 DSP + 1 MA 1 set

Neumann MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment Microphone System
The Neumann MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system is designed to help engineers, musicians and producers achieve more accurate and consistent mixes with their Neumann KH 80 DSP monitors or non-DSP KH series monitors when used with the KH 750 DSP subwoofer. The system uses an omnidirectional measurement microphone and downloadable software for Mac and Windows with Fraunhofer IIS algorithms to calibrate and adjust the phase and amplitude of the speakers to compensate for room imperfections. The system is easy to use; simply connect the balanced outputs of your audio interface or monitor controller to your KH monitors. Connect the Ethernet ports of your DSP monitors to a network switch (sold separately), then connect the switch output to your computer. Plug the calibration microphone into a mic input on your interface (48V phantom power required) and follow the calibration process in your software. An SG105 mic clip is included for mounting the microphone on a stand. The MA 1 software algorithms use the measurements to adjust speaker parameters according to a room-specific target curve that compensates for the acoustic deficiencies of the room. All correction parameters are stored in the DSP speaker, so they are always present without having to worry about plug-ins and driver issues. Furthermore, once calibrated, you will no longer need the Ethernet connection. As mentioned, you can also calibrate non-DSP KH monitors, provided you also use a KH 750 DSP subwoofer. The KH 750 DSP has sufficient processing power to align the entire system, including both analogue speakers connected to its outputs. The KH 120, KH 310 and KH 420 speakers benefit from the linearisation of their built-in filters for greater clarity, more accurate bass and more precise time correction.
Compatible DSP Speakers
The KH 80 DSP speakers and the KH 750 DSP subwoofer are network-compatible and can be controlled directly by the software
Compatible Analogue Speakers
The following speakers are not network-compatible and must be connected via a network-compatible subwoofer to be included in the system configuration: KH 120 A, KH 120 D, KH 310 A, KH 310 D, KH 420/KH 420 + DIM 1
Neumann KH 750 DSP-Controlled Compact Sealed Subwoofer
Designed to complement small studio monitoring systems, the Neumann KH 750 is a DSP-powered 10" subwoofer capable of reproducing frequencies from 18 to 300 Hz at levels of 105 dB. This model provides a flexible 2.0/0.1 bass manager, allowing the subwoofer to be used in many different scenarios. Use the KH 750 for the LFE channel in a 5.1 configuration or as a subwoofer in a conventional stereo mix position. The KH 750 can be easily integrated into the Neumann monitor range and is suitable for mixing, mastering, music and broadcast. The KH 750 features many rear panel options suited to various configurations, such as four different routing modes. Analogue and digital inputs/outputs are available, along with fourth-order DSP filters and acoustic controls to integrate the subwoofer into your room. Via the RJ45 connection, you can use Neumann.Control, which runs on a standard IP network and offers controls for the KH 750 not available on the subwoofer itself. These controls facilitate the setup, alignment and use of the subwoofer in your system, even in small spaces. The Neumann.Control software can be controlled via your computer or an iPad. Use the KH 750 to complement your small studio monitoring system and, in doing so, relieve your existing monitors of bass extension duties. By implementing this subwoofer, you will also notice a marked reduction in harmonic and intermodulation distortion from your main monitors, as this load has been relieved. A pleasant side effect will be the ability to increase the overall SPL level of your speakers, allowing you to check how the mix sounds at higher levels without inducing distortion.
Key Features
-Reduces bass extension of the monitoring system
-Increases maximum SPL of the speakers
-Reduces harmonic and intermodulation distortion of the speakers
-Reproduces the LFE channel
-Reproduces the bass signal from a multichannel source with bass management
-Creates a Plane Wave Bass Array system
-Works as an extension for KH 810, KH 870 and KH 805 subwoofer systems
