Neumann 3 EU Monitor Alignment Kit - 2x KH 80 DSP + 1x KH 750 + 1x MA 1

Equip your studio with a precisely calibrated monitoring system using the Neumann 3 monitor alignment kit, which includes two grey KH 80 DSP studio monitors, a KH 750 DSP subwoofer and an MA 1 measurement microphone. The included calibration software, developed with Fraunhofer IIS, allows you to create a room-specific profile that manages frequency, time alignment and amplitude issues inherent to your listening environment. After running the software with the included measurement microphone, your KH series 2.1 monitoring setup should be optimised to provide you with the ideal response for critical listening, mixing, post-production and more.
Neumann KH 80 DSP 4" + 1" 2-Way Active Studio Monitor (Grey, Unit)
The Neumann KH 80 DSP grey is a 2-way active studio monitor well-suited for nearfield monitoring and multichannel setups in music studios, broadcast centres and OB vans, as well as home studios and desktop audio applications. The KH 80 uses two amplifiers (120W and 70W) to drive the 4" woofer and 1" tweeter respectively, an onboard DSP engine, a mathematically modelled dispersion (MMD) waveguide, analogue input and a wide range of optional mounting hardware. The DSP function is accessible via a standard IP network connection that allows the monitoring system to be controlled using the Neumann.Control app, which runs on a Windows/Mac computer or iOS/Android tablet. Through the use of the latest acoustic and electronic simulation and measurement technologies, the KH 80 can be used in various acoustic conditions with any source equipment and in a wide variety of physical locations, ensuring accurate sound reproduction.

Neumann KH 750 Compact DSP-Controlled Closed Subwoofer
Designed to complement small rooms and small studio monitoring systems, the Neumann KH 750 is a DSP-powered 10" subwoofer capable of reproducing 18 to 300 Hz at sound pressure levels of 105 dB. This model provides a flexible 2.0/0.1 bass manager, allowing the subwoofer to be implemented in many different scenarios. Use the KH 750 for the LFE channel in a 5.1 setup or as a subwoofer in a conventional stereo mixing position. The KH 750 can be easily integrated with the Neumann monitor range and is suitable for use in mixing, mastering, music and broadcast. The KH 750 has several options on the rear panel to suit various configurations, such as four different routing modes. Analogue and digital inputs/outputs are available, as well as fourth-order DSP crossover filters and acoustic controls to integrate the subwoofer into your room. Using the RJ45 connection, you can use Neumann.Control, which runs on a standard IP network and provides controls for the KH 750 not available on the physical subwoofer itself. These controls make it easier to configure, align and use the subwoofer in your system, even in small spaces. The Neumann.Control software can be controlled using your computer or an iPad. Use the KH 750 to complement your small studio monitoring installation, and in doing so, relieve your existing monitoring system of bass extension. By implementing this subwoofer, you will also notice a marked decrease in harmonic and intermodulation distortion from your main monitors, as this load has now been relieved. A pleasant side effect will be the ability to increase the overall sound pressure level of your speakers, thus allowing you to check how the mix sounds at higher levels without inducing distortion.
Key Features
-Reduces bass extension of monitoring system
-Increases maximum sound pressure level of speakers
-Reduces harmonic and intermodulation distortion of speakers
-Reproduces LFE channel
-Reproduces subwoofer signal from multichannel source with bass management
-Creates plane wave network system for bass
-Functions as extension for KH 810, KH 870 and KH 805 subwoofer systems
Neumann MA 1 Monitor Alignment Microphone and Calibration System
The Neumann MA 1 monitor alignment microphone and calibration system is designed to help engineers, musicians and producers achieve more accurate and sonically consistent mixes from their Neumann KH 80 DSP monitors or non-DSP KH series monitors when used with the KH 750 DSP subwoofer. The system uses an omnidirectional measurement microphone and downloadable software for Mac and Windows with Fraunhofer IIS algorithms to calibrate and adjust the phase and amplitude of speakers to compensate for room imperfections. The system is easy to use; simply connect the balanced outputs of your audio interface or monitor controller to your KH monitors. Connect the Ethernet ports of your DSP-based monitors to a network switch (available separately) then route the switch output to your computer. Plug the calibration microphone into a mic input on your interface (48V phantom power required) and follow the calibration process in your software. An SG105 microphone clip is included to mount the microphone on a stand. The MA 1 software algorithms use the measurements to adjust speaker settings to a room-specific target curve that compensates for the room's acoustic defects. All correction parameters are stored in the DSP speaker, so they are always there without having to worry about plug-ins and driver issues. Additionally, once calibrated, you will no longer need the Ethernet connection. As mentioned, you can also calibrate non-DSP KH monitors, as long as you also use a KH 750 DSP subwoofer. The KH 750 DSP has enough processing power to align the entire system, including the two analogue speakers connected to its outputs. The KH 120, KH 310 and KH 420 speakers benefit from linearisation of their built-in crossover filters for more clarity, tighter bass and more accurate time correction.
Compatible DSP Speakers
The KH 80 DSP speakers and KH 750 DSP subwoofer are network compatible and can be controlled directly by the software Compatible Analogue Speakers
The following speakers are not network compatible and must be connected via a network-compatible subwoofer to be included in the system configuration: KH 120 A, KH 120 D, KH 310 A, KH 310 D, KH 420/KH 420 + DIM 1
