The MXC-688SLX from Porta Brace is a protective carrying case, custom-made for the Sound Devices 688 mixer, and either the CL-6 input controller or the SL-6 wireless power system. This bag combines the recorder and receiver compartments to form a single rigid structure, offering a more robust structure and better support. The bag features two large pockets on each side, perfect for an NP1-type battery or left and right transmitters. Inside these pockets there are also additional attachment points for transmitters.

The MXC-688SLX features an adjustable hook-and-loop strap/shelf that can be positioned to make use of the space beneath the CL-6 or SL-6. Additional storage space has been created in the double-layer vinyl window, allowing the user to store small handy items or frequency information. The case is designed to allow the user to compress the outer part of the bag and create a smaller, more compact case.
