This new style combined audio mixing case is a protective carrying case, custom-designed for the Sound Devices 664 mixer. This new MXC case combines the mixer and receiver compartments to form a single rigid structure. The new MXC style offers a much sturdier frame and considerably improved support. The case features two large pockets on each side, perfect for an NP1-type battery or left and right transmitters. Inside these pockets, there are also additional mounting points for transmitters. The case is fitted with a moveable Velcro strap/shelf that can be positioned to utilise the space beneath the CL6. This Velcro loop provides a solid anchor point for an additional NP1-type battery, often required with a fully equipped case. Additional storage space has been created in the double-layer vinyl window. This allows the user to store small handy items or frequency chart information. The MXC-664CLX can also be used without the CL6 attached. The case is designed to allow the user to compress the outer section of the case and create a smaller, more compact case.
