With the RPio622 I/O rack, you can enjoy this high-end performance with new levels of versatility and scalability. This compact stage box features six RY slots for configuring and expanding analogue and digital I/O, as well as two HY slots — one providing 256 inputs and outputs and the second 128 inputs and outputs. You also have two Mini-YGDAI slots supporting a wide range of audio formats. At Sweetwater, we also noted the RPio622's dual redundant power supplies, which ensure rock-solid reliability. The RPio622 is an important component of Yamaha's RIVAGE PM system, which also includes a control surface and a DSP engine.
Yamaha RIVAGE PM Series — Uncompromising Digital Mixing
The Yamaha RPio622 I/O rack is part of the company's acclaimed RIVAGE PM digital mixing system. This ultra-flexible ecosystem includes control surfaces, DSP engines, I/O racks and audio interface cards. The control surfaces are the heart of the system, offering high-quality faders, intuitive touchscreens and Yamaha's renowned Selected Channel section. The five control surfaces in the series offer similar functionality. If you are familiar with one of them, you will have no difficulty switching to another. The DSP engines are the "brain" of your RIVAGE PM system. They provide signal processing from industry leaders such as Rupert Neve Designs and Eventide, as well as system control. In addition, they can transmit and receive up to 256 digital audio inputs/outputs. The I/O racks house the physical connections of your system. And they perform admirably, with Yamaha's transparent and natural hybrid microphone preamplifiers, featuring high-performance analogue input stages as well as advanced digital sections with accurate emulations of Rupert Neve Designs transformers and SILK processing circuits. Finally, the audio interface cards provide your analogue and digital I/O and add TWINLANe, Dante and MADI capabilities to your digital mixing system.
