Altair presents the new 'Audio Selector Series', consisting of 2 different models with 16 or 8 balanced stereo inputs and 2 parallel balanced stereo outputs. Due to the large number of inputs/outputs, connections are made via PHOENIX (TM) type terminal blocks.


The 'AS' audio selectors have been designed to broadcast specifications, with a removable front panel allowing separate installation of the main unit and front panel for more convenient use.


Volume and balance controls via rotary encoder and position indicators allow precise and reproducible adjustments as well as other actions such as individual input TRIM and instant memory recall after unit start-up.


Channel selection and MUTE functions are performed using proprietary crossfade technology which significantly reduces all types of switching artefacts to achieve clean channel transitions or progressive muting.


The selectors incorporate an AUTO automatic selection mode which can be activated. When active, it simplifies selection by reducing the number of operations to simply starting/stopping the required source.
