The studio control channel is optional and is used for monitoring different sources on studio speakers (MONITOR) via a 6.35mm stereo jack socket and a studio headphone (PHONES) via a 6.35mm stereo jack socket.


A front panel control allows you to adjust the monitoring level. The studio control speaker level can vary between 0 (muted) and 10 (max). The output must be connected to an appropriate power amplifier to power the speakers. Headphones with an impedance of 35 ohms and above can be directly connected to the channel's headphone connector on the rear panel.

A block of four electronic locking switches allows you to select the source routed to the speakers and headphones from two external inputs (EXT 1, EXT 2), the PGM or AUD output. The buttons illuminate to indicate the selected source, PGM and AUD in green, EXT 1 and EXT 2 in red. External inputs can be used for monitoring an off-air signal or output from another studio.

An illuminated Mute LED indicates when an active microphone channel in the studio has muted the speakers. The Mute outputs on the AUD output channel's remote connector can be used to remotely activate "Mic Live" indicators.

The green illuminated AUTO CUE/PFL buttons adjacent to each level control enable PFL monitoring when an input channel has been selected to CUE/PFL, either to monitors or headphones.

A separate Studio T/B button allows the presenter/technician to talk into the studio monitors and/or headphones, and internal jumpers allow this talkback to either override or dim the selected source.

A Global Talkback system can be configured to allow each contribution point in the control room and studio to communicate with each other via their microphone and headphones.
