The mic/line input channel is a mono input with a button to select either the Mic input or the Mono Line input.


For the Mic input, a +48V phantom power can be configured. The Mic input has a jumper-selectable high-pass filter to eliminate low-frequency rumble. If the Mic input is used for the presenter's microphone, it can also serve as a talkback mic. The talkback function will be retained when the channel input is switched to Line.

Equalisation is fitted as standard on this channel and is activated by the EQ button, offering 10dB cut and boost at HF (6.5kHz) and LF (100Hz). A balanced line-level insert send and return are available for the Mic input for inserting an effects or voice processor into the mic channel. The send and return are disabled in Line mode.

There are remote logic input controls for mic mute (cough) and reverse talkback. There are output controls for Mic Cue lamps and separate fader or ON button remote start/stop controls. Both latching and momentary contacts are supported.

The remote outputs on the 9-pin D-sub connector are driven by NPN opto-isolators.

The Mic input provides a jumper-selectable output to facilitate either control room or studio speaker muting, and the channel can also be used to control one of two separate timer displays.

Additionally, the Line input can be configured with all the features of the Mic input when used as a Mic input with an external microphone preamplifier, for example for monitor muting. Gold-plated Neutrik XLR connectors are used for audio inputs and outputs.
