Telestream Wirecast Gear 230
The Telestream Wirecast Gear 230 is a preconfigured hardware unit that includes the Telestream Wirecast Pro 8 software. This allows you to capture, produce and stream live content in a single portable unit suited for desktop use or 19" rack mounting. The Gear 230 features four integrated 3G-SDI input ports, multiple LAN/Wi-Fi ports, as well as USB 3.0 and USB-C ports. In addition to Wirecast Pro 8 software, it includes Telestream Switch 4 and the Complete version of NewBlue Titler Live. A baseband 3G-SDI output can feed a recorder or live streaming equipment. The display outputs can also feed high-resolution presentation screens (up to UHD 4K) for live on-site displays.
The pre-installed software allows you to switch between multiple live cameras whilst dynamically mixing other media, still images and audio, and adding production features such as transitions, instant slow motion, playlists, built-in titles, green screen, virtual studios and live scoreboards. Wirecast's built-in encoding engine allows you to stream high-quality H.264 video and AAC audio via RTMP, RTP and Windows Media protocols whilst simultaneously recording to the 2 TB internal storage. You can choose from over 30 built-in destinations for major streaming services and platforms such as Facebook Live, YouTube Live, Microsoft Azure, Akamai, DaCast and Wowza.

Mounting
The Wirecast Gear 230 measures 1.3U in height and can be mounted in a standard 19" rack with the included rack ears. It also comes with rubber feet for desktop use.
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed on the hardware.
Capture
The Wirecast Gear 230 integrates a Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2 capture card offering four 3G-SDI input ports and one 3G-SDI output port.
Storage
A 2 TB SSD provides approximately over 40 hours of storage, based on an H.264 1080p 29.97 fps capture setting at medium quality.
NewBlue Titler Live Complete
Included with the Wirecast Gear 230, the Complete version of NewBlue Titler Live is designed for all broadcast professionals. Complete combines all the features of Titler Live Social, Sport and Preset. It also offers data connectivity to drive graphics from automated inputs such as spreadsheets and RSS feeds, for unlimited design choices.
Deployment
Based on a shallow rack for convenient mounting in a flight case or on-site installation. It comes with rubber feet for desktop use, designed to integrate easily into your production environment. The unit contains no rotating hard drive, making it ideal for transport.

Internet/IP Stream Sources
Available exclusively on the Pro version of Wirecast, you can integrate any live stream (RTSP/RTMP/HTTP/MMS) from your network or the Internet directly into Wirecast as a source (you must have the access credentials). You can also add Teradek streams from their separately available wireless devices for a fully wireless production solution.

Switching
Switch between the sources you have captured or are capturing, in real time for your audience, and produce your show. Add professional transitions and smooth fades between sources. Assign any audio source to any one or all of your video sources, or vice versa.
Titles
Easily add titles and lower thirds, scrolling, crawling or live text to your broadcast. Choose from the library of pre-designed title templates, or import professional 3D animated titles, scoreboards, clocks, logos and more live using the included NewBlue Titler Live Express software.
Live Chroma Keying
Take your production to a new level with Wirecast's high-quality, GPU-accelerated real-time green screen keying solution. Replace your (green) background with your own video or still image, live and on location.
Virtual Studios
Add your own background or virtual studio behind your speakers and place them in beautiful, realistic environments.
Scoreboards
Wirecast 8 Pro includes a built-in scoreboard generator in addition to being compatible with separately available third-party solutions. Score data can be retrieved from a stadium scoreboard using Sportzcast technology.
Streaming Features
Destinations
Choose from over 30 built-in destinations or add your own custom RTMP destinations. Popular destinations already included are Facebook Live, YouTube Live, Twitch, Microsoft Azure, DaCast, Churchstreaming.tv and Wowza. Streaming to these platforms is as simple as entering your username and password in Wirecast to be automatically connected to your account.
H.264 Encoding with x264
Offering high-quality H.264 encoding, even at lower bit rates, x264 is one of the best low-latency formats compatible with most streaming platforms.
Local Programme Output
Send your Wirecast stream directly to Blackmagic Design and AJA hardware. This setup is ideal for sending live streams directly into editing, effects and broadcast design systems. A baseband 3G-SDI output is also available.
