Combining robust connectivity with an integrated battery grip design, the WFT-R10B wireless file transmitter is a workflow asset for the Canon EOS R5 mirrorless camera. This transmitter/grip combination enables the transfer of image files via wired or wireless LAN connections with FTP, FTPS and SFTP support for secure sharing. Support for EOS Utility and Network Setup Tool, along with an intuitive, updated interface, enables the creation of various wireless configurations of varying complexity, including enhanced support for linked multi-camera shooting and wireless synchronised applications. As a grip, the WFT-R10B offers extended battery life by accommodating up to two LP-E6/LP-E6N/LP-E6NH batteries. It also provides users with a set of vertical controls and dials, including a shutter release and joystick, to make the camera more comfortable to use in portrait orientation. In addition, it offers the same dust and weather resistance as the R5 itself to suit working in challenging conditions. - Wired LAN (Ethernet) and wireless (Wi-Fi) connectivity options are available for customised networking solutions. Wireless support has been enhanced over the base unit with 802.11ac/c 2x2 MIMO technology to achieve transfer speeds of up to 867 Mb/s. Additionally, 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GHz and 802.11ac/a/n 5 GHz standards are options for compatibility with different networks. - As a vertical battery grip, the WFT-R10B offers the expected benefits of extended battery life and easier use for vertical shooting. It accommodates two LP-E6NH/LP-E6N/LP-E6 batteries to effectively double battery life. It also features vertical controls, including dials, a multi-controller and a shutter release. In addition, it is dust- and moisture-resistant to match the camera. - Professional workflows sometimes require advanced remote transfer options, including FTP and encryption. The WFT-R10B enables the configuration of direct image transfer from the camera to local or remote servers using FTP, FTPS and SFTP. - EOS Utility software is available, offering options for remote Live View shooting and image transfer. This works well with Network Setup Tool to adjust network-specific options using a computer. This tool allows the export and import of settings files (NIF), LAN configuration and the ability to check FTP server access and create folders. - One camera can connect to up to ten receiver devices (all equipped with WFT-R10B) via a wireless local area network for remote multi-camera shooting or to synchronise the time across all devices.
