One of the largest LEDs in the industry, the Celeb 850 measures 114 cm x 66 cm. The luminous flux is 1251 LUX at 3 m but consumes only 2.2 A (240 VAC). Kino Flo's innovative new Celeb 850 DMX LED is a soft, cool LED ideally suited to today's growing demands for energy-efficient, portable and colour-accurate LED lighting.The Celeb 850 has been developed using the latest technology to conform to Kino Flo's highest standards - cool, accurate colours, flicker-free and completely silent, which sets the Celeb apart from all other LEDs. The Kino Flo Celeb 850 LED also comes with standard and wireless DMX (Lumen Radio®) and universal voltage input 100-240VAC (2.2 Amp at 240V). We have also recently added new SnapBag Softbox and SnapGrid accessories. The centre mount is ideal for outdoor shoots and allows the unit to rotate 360 degrees to produce a wide range of desired angles. For additional control, the centre mount can also rotate in 90° increments. Pull the locking pin and turn anti-clockwise to unlock. When the unit rotates to a 90° angle, it locks into place. LED Technology Like all Kino Flos, the Celeb's soft, luxurious colour has been specially formulated to match the spectral distribution curves of film and HD video cameras. With a high colour rendering index (CRI 95), the Celeb runs cool and flicker-free, even during dimming, and maintains its True Match® colour temperature without any colour shift.
Control
The Celeb is the most controllable LED Softlight on the market. The Celeb 850 has three menu options, one white menu and two colour menus. Those who prefer to work with white light can use the "white menu" which gives the user access to dimming, Kelvin and green/magenta control channels. The Kelvin range goes from tungsten 2700K to daylight 6500K. In the colour menu, the Kelvin range goes from tungsten 2500K to daylight 9900K, and Kino Flo has implemented a fourth channel called Gel. The Gel channel includes Kino Flo presets such as blue and green screen, sodium vapour, mercury vapour and over 100 well-known lighting filters. In addition, there is also a fifth channel called Hue Angle and a sixth channel, Saturation. These two channels behave similarly to a traditional colour wheel, where you have white light in the centre, and the hue angle determines the colour over a 360-degree range, and saturation determines the amount of colour applied. The second colour menu offers individual red, green and blue (RGB) control. The RGB menu is an excellent way to work with applications that have predetermined RGB presets or colour wheels.
Light intensity
The Celeb offers full dimming from 100 to 0% with no colour shift.
Light control
The Celeb has a beam angle of 160° and comes with a 90° honeycomb. Kino Flo's high-quality plastic honeycomb controls and concentrates the light, reducing light spill with minimal loss. A 60° honeycomb is also available as an accessory. Barn doors are sold in sets of 4. They are designed to be mounted individually.
Thermal management design
No fans, complete silence, fully passive cooling. For Kino Flo, thermal management is a crucial design element in the design of luminaires. Physical heat or heat build-up in the LED luminaire directly influences colour temperature, light performance and LED lifespan. The Celeb's unique design runs cool, uses very little power and is properly ventilated to maintain a stable colour temperature. A well-maintained temperature extends the maintenance of light output, colour temperature and LED lifespan. The Celeb is an excellent tool for rigorous daily use in any studio or outdoor environment. This is a range of equipment that will give you excellent results on camera, and you can also expect years of reliable service and high residual value.
