FreeStyle 41 LED Fixture
The Kino Flo FreeStyle 41 LED unleashes your creativity by using a quick-release system to remove the LED panel from the plastic housing. The smaller form factor and lightweight LED panel combined with four protective corners add extra mounting versatility. The LED panel also includes an additional mounting plate so it can still be mounted on a stand. The Kino Flo FreeStyle 41 LED offers three menu options, a white menu and two colour menus. Those who prefer working with white light can use the "White menu" which gives the user access to dimming, colour temperature, and green/magenta control channels. The colour temperature range goes from 2700K tungsten to 6500K daylight. In the Colour menu, the Kelvin range goes from 2500K tungsten to 9900K daylight, and Kino Flo has implemented a fourth channel called Gel. The Gel channel includes Kino Flo presets such as blue and green screen, sodium vapour, mercury vapour, and over 100 well-known lighting gels. Additionally, there is also a fifth channel called Hue Angle and a sixth channel, Saturation. These two channels behave similarly to a traditional colour wheel, where you have white light at the centre and hue angle determines the colour over a 360-degree range, and saturation determines how much colour is applied. The second colour menu offers individual red, green, blue (RGB) control. The RGB menu is an excellent way to work with applications that have RGB presets or predetermined colour wheels. Kino Flo's new FreeStyle LEDs are also equipped with standard DMX and wireless (Lumen Radio), 24VDC input, and universal 100-240VAC voltage input (1.25 ampere at 120VAC). SnapBag Softbox and SnapGrid accessories are also available.

FreeStyle LED System
The FreeStyle LED system consists of four elements: the FreeStyle LED fixture, mounting plate, FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller, and extension cable. It was designed this way to offer the greatest flexibility in lighting solutions for challenging situations.
FreeStyle 41 LED Fixture
The FreeStyle LED fixture includes integrated grids and consists of a removable LED panel and grid. The grid is held in place by hook-and-loop fasteners. The LED panel can be removed from the fixture housing by pressing the locking pin and turning the thumbscrew. The fixture has a twist-lock coupling plate to accept a twist-lock mount. The LED panel also has a twist-lock coupling plate to accept a removable twist-lock mount and features moulded corners for additional mounting options.
Mounting
One of the design features of the FreeStyle LED fixture is the removable centre mount with twist-lock attachment. In place, the fixture easily mounts on a lighting stand; once removed, the fixture is flat and can be handheld or hidden in a space too small to place a stand-mounted fixture. When the mount is removed, the eyelet holes along the edge of the fixture are designed to allow the fixture to be screwed to a wall or ceiling through its eyelets. The removable FreeStyle LED panel also has its own coupling plate to accept the twist-lock mounting plate. The LED panel can be handheld with the KinoGrip mount and also features moulded corners as hanging points for rope suspension, for example. The standalone gaffer tray (FIX-41T) is a separately sold accessory. The gaffer tray holds the removable LED panel. The centre KinoGrip mount and LED controller can be attached. The tray enables a more compact fixture profile without the need to fold down the plastic flaps. When the mount and controller are removed, the tray can be screwed to the wall or ceiling through its mounting points. The standard mount comes with a KinoGrip mount with baby receiver (MTP-BG41) that mounts onto a baby stand. The ball-head mount allows the unit to be positioned through a wide range of angles. With the KinoGrip, the lightweight fixture or removable LED panel can be held by hand. There is also a short version and a mount with 3/8" spigot available as accessories. The yellow wire loops are there to provide attachment points for a safety chain. Mounting options include the MTP-KG41 mount with 3/8" spigot (10 mm); the short mount MTP-BG41S with baby receiver (16 mm).
MTP-B41F
The Kino Offset with baby receiver, MTP-B41F (sold separately) can be used to centre the weight and balance of the fixture on a stand. It can also be hung under a baby spigot for use as uplighting.
MTP-BAL1
A baby mount for ballast (MTP-BAL1) is available as an accessory. The MTP-BAL1 can be used with a Mafer clamp to mount the controller onto a stand, for example.

The energy-efficient FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller operates on universal input voltage of 100-240VAC at only 1.25A (120VAC) (FreeStyle 31) or can also operate at 24VDC using only 6.25A.

AC Input
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller is AC powered and includes an IEC connection. The controller includes universal 100-240VAC input.
DC Input
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller can also operate on 24VDC (input range 18-36VDC) via a 3-pin XLR. Pin polarity is:
- Pin 1 - Earth
- Pin 2 - +18-36VDC
- Pin No. 3 - Not used
Block Battery/KF21
The KF21 battery can power 28.8V applications (20-34VDC). Runtime for the LED FreeStyle 21/31 is approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes at full brightness. When fixtures are dimmed, the battery will last longer. Charging time is only 1.5 hours compared to approximately 4 hours for a full charge of lithium batteries. Unlike lithium batteries, the Kino Flo/BlockBattery is also suitable for transport without shipping restrictions. The Kino Flo/BlockBattery system includes a Mafer mount, BAT-MM1, with a 28.8V output with 3-pin XLR, 0.91 m. The battery slides onto the mount and attaches to a Mafer clamp. The 3-pin XLR cable connects to the FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller.
DMX Operation
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX operates on three DMX channels (in White mode) using the DMX512 protocol (six DMX channels in Colour mode). The first channel controls dimming, the 2nd channel controls Kelvin colour temperature, the 3rd channel controls hue. In Gel/Hue Colour mode: the 4th channel controls Gel, the 5th channel controls Hue Angle, and the 6th channel controls Saturation. In RGB Colour mode, the 4th channel controls Red, the 5th channel controls Green, and the 6th channel controls Blue.
Wireless Operation
The FreeStyle 151 LED DMX controller includes an integrated Lumen Radio receiver and can be used wirelessly with a Lumen Radio transmitter (sold separately). Wireless is an option to using DMX cables.
The FreeStyle Extension Cable
Up to 15.24 metres (2 x 7.62 m) of extension cable can be used between the fixture and controller.
Light control
In addition to plastic grids, another light control option is a Flozier diffuser available in half-stop. The Flozier attaches to the grids and can be adjusted in various configurations.
Honeycomb grid
Light diffusion is controlled using thin-walled honeycomb grids. The advantage of these grids is minimal light loss. FreeStyle LED fixtures include a 90-degree grid. A 60-degree grid is also available as an accessory. They are lightweight and attach to the fixture with hook-and-loop fasteners.

The LED controller for Kino Flo's Select 21 and 31 fixtures is a detachable controller for Select 21 or Select 31 LED heads. The controller can be mounted at the back of the lamp head or used remotely up to 7.62 m with an optional extension cable. It enables the fixture to produce a constant light level across the entire variable range of 2500 to 9900K in the Colour menu. The White menu has adjustment channels for dimming, colour temperature, and green/magenta. The Colour menu gives you access to Gel, Hue Angle, and Saturation channels. The Gel channel includes presets such as blue and green screen, sodium vapour, mercury vapour, and over 100 well-known lighting gels. The Hue Angle and Saturation channels act like a traditional colour wheel with a 360-degree colour range and choice of colour intensity. The detachable controller includes a screen for menu navigation and information display, as well as physical buttons for navigation and adjustments. This wired DMX controller is complemented by wireless DMX, provided by Lumen Radio. It can accept worldwide AC power and can also be DC powered via a 3-pin XLR connector.

Make transporting and handling your fixture easier with this K41 KinoGrip twist-lock mount with 5/8" baby receiver from Kino Flo. Compatible with fixtures featuring twist-lock mounting plates, this mount adds a handle for easier light handling as well as a wing button for quick adjustments and locking the light in position.
Extension Cable, 7.62 m
The 7.62 m 150 extension cable for Kino Flo's Select LED system provides additional distance between the Select LED head and its ballast. Up to 2 extensions can be connected for a total of 15.24 m.
Transport Case
The transport case (KAS-FS41-C) is perfectly suited for field transport. Its robust construction ensures excellent protection of the system. The flight case can hold one FreeStyle LED system, an additional grid, and a medium-duty stand.
