Sonnet's Thunderbolt 3 expansion card allows you to upgrade your Thunderbolt 2 system to Thunderbolt 3 at 40 Gb/s. By replacing the existing Thunderbolt interface card in your Echo Express SE I with this expansion card, your chassis will instantly support superior performance and connect to your Thunderbolt 3-equipped computer without requiring an adapter.
With the Thunderbolt 3 interface card installed, your upgraded Echo Express Thunderbolt 2 system benefits from 30 to 100% additional bandwidth compared to the original system. When installed in an upgraded system, PCIe cards requiring high bandwidth, such as 16 Gb Fibre Channel cards and 4K video I/O cards supporting high frame rates, can deliver better performance than before.
