Tiffen 4 x 5.65" 3 Straw Hard-Edge graduated filter (horizontal orientation) 
 
The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" 3 Straw Hard-Edge graduated filter helps to specifically add warm golden-yellow colouration to skies and other bright areas of an image whilst allowing a portion of the image to remain neutral. The filter colouration is denser at the edge and fades towards the middle, with a sharp transition between the dense and clear areas. The colour density 3 provides more straw colouration than the density 2 filter.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 4 x 5.65" / 101.6 x 143.5mm.
Note: The transition line of a horizontally oriented filter is parallel to the long side of the filter.
- Provides golden-yellow colouration to selected areas of the image.
- The graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, giving a more realistic appearance whilst allowing the sky or other bright areas to take on the colour of the density.
