The Tiffen Glimmerglass 1/16 6.6 x 6.6" filter is an enhancing filter that has a dual function: in addition to modifying the appearance of the image itself, it has a sparkling appearance when viewed head-on, giving the model more confidence. The filter itself helps to soften skin details, blemishes and wrinkles. It also produces luminous highlights and slight contrast reduction for a more ethereal appearance. The 1/16 density offers less softening than the 1/8.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. This filter measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6 mm.
